FAQ

Who makes the products?

WE do!  We do the designing, sewing, cutting, constructing, dying and painting ourselves in our Brooklyn Studio.

Is She-bang Sustainable?

We try to be as sustainable as possible. In our case this means we mostly only work with existing fabrics,  leathers and materials to make sure to help reduce textile waste.  We love using our local neighborhood free group to source unwanted items like denim and jewelry and re-imagine them into something new.  That being said, we refuse to sacrifice quality, so somethings may need to be purchased new in order to ensure the design has the best and longest lasting execution.  In that case, we like to support our local small businesses.

Where do the fabrics come from?

We try to use existing fabrics for our handbags, garments + fabric based jewelry.  Most of our fabrics are  dead-stock or left-over sample yardage.  Some of our upcycled garments come from trial production garments or  store bought “inspiration” samples that are mutilated in a way that makes them unwearable as is.   All of our denim is donated to us by our friends and neighbors in our local free group.
